Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Photography or a related field and two years of experience are required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Retinal Angiographer certification is required upon hire.
  • Certified Optical Coherence Tomography Technician certification is required upon hire.
Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and imaging functions that aid in diagnosing and managing ocular disease.
  • Monitor and ensure that all imaging functions are completed accurately, efficiently, and customer-centered within the clinical practice.
  • Support clinical, research, and educational initiatives.
  • Perform ophthalmic imaging, including optical coherence tomography, HRT/confocal imaging, fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, RetCam/handheld fundus photography, external/oculofacial plastics photography, slitlamp and gonio photography, ultra-wide-field fundus imaging, autofluorescence imaging, indocyanine green angiography, specular microscopy, videography and video editing, and ultrasound biomicroscopy.
  • Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing and provide backup for visual fields, Humphrey and Goldmann testing, corneal topography, corneal pachymetry, potential acuity meter/laser interferometry, and ocular biometry using the IOL Master.
  • Participate in human subject studies, obtain and maintain study certification, disseminate study information, enroll and update equipment in studies, and work with study centers to address study-data submission issues.
  • Participate in non-human studies, obtain and maintain certification for animal research and vivarium access, provide imaging support for research staff and physicians, operate diagnostic equipment for different creatures, clean and reset equipment, attend training, learn new non-human imaging technology, and guide and provide coverage for interested team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
