Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old to meet Department of Transportation requirements.
  • Must hold a valid U.S. driver's license and have at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Must have a clean driving record with no recent violations or at-fault accidents.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
  • Must be able to obtain a non-commercial driver's license Department of Transportation medical card.
  • Conversational English is required.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must follow the strict no-mobile-device policy while operating company vehicles.
  • Must work safely and comply with company policies and protocols.
Responsibilities
  • Manage, coordinate, and schedule a fleet of drivers according to airline schedules.
  • Direct the work activity of a group of drivers to maximize profitability and customer experience.
  • Provide leadership and direction to drivers, including process improvement, team-building, coaching, and feedback.
  • Assist in minimizing overtime except in emergency situations.
  • Assist the Station Manager with recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, motivating, coaching, and mentoring transport drivers.
  • Assist with the daily maintenance review of fleet vehicles, including daily vehicle inspections and maintenance scheduling.
  • Communicate vehicle concerns to the Fleet Manager daily when necessary and through weekly updates.
  • Manage fleet checklists.
  • Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits and leading regular station safety meetings.
  • Meet individually with staff members regarding safety and work activities.
  • Assist the Station Manager with managing local permits and vehicle registrations and communicate with Finance for timely renewals.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with airport ground transportation and attend meetings as required.
  • Complete required paperwork on time.
  • Safely transport airline crew members to and from airports and hotels.
  • Assist airline crew members with luggage weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Communicate via radio and in person.
  • Deliver professional, on-time, customer-focused service.
