Requirements
  • College degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience working as an engineer or scientist, ideally working with electromechanical devices
  • Extensive experience with embedded programming (hard real-time experience preferred)
  • Strong proficiency and rapid learning with various microcontrollers and software architectures
  • Dedication to quality in both design and execution
  • Inventive problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to make independent decisions and justify them
  • Demonstrated organization and data management skills
  • Thrive in fast-paced and creative environments

Responsibilities
  • Implementing new firmware components and applications
  • Maintaining and improving firmware on existing products
  • Building new diagnostic software tools and GUIs
  • Conducting comprehensive root-cause analysis on failures and devising solutions
  • Debugging complex real-time embedded applications
  • Planning, improving and managing software applications from inception to use
  • Effectively communicating relevant results both orally and in written form
  • Working closely with project leads, engineers, and designers from initial concept through execution and refinement
