Requirements
  • Graduation from a physical therapist education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) or, in the case of an internationally educated physical therapist, from a non-CAPTE accredited program seeking licensure as a physical therapist, a substantially equivalent education
  • State licensure/registration where applicable
Responsibilities
  • Supervision of therapy centers
  • Treatment of a full patient case load
  • Ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures
  • Responsible for center financial statements including profit and loss performance
  • Responsible for sales/marketing to existing and potential center referral sources
  • Management of operations of therapy centers
  • Assuring efficient caseload management and scheduling of patients
  • Implementation of local market business plan including company objectives and initiatives
  • Strategic planning and implementation
  • Developing fiscal budgets for center
  • Developing strategic plan for center and participating in market strategic planning
  • Ensuring center profitability
  • Overseeing center staff to ensure success
  • Conducting orientation and training of staff
  • Conducting accurate and timely Performance Planning & Reviews (PP&R) of center staff
  • Managing all employee relations issues
  • Conducting routine quality assurance and corporate compliance audits
  • Reviewing results of outcome program measures and developing plans to improve patient care
  • Ensuring strong physician and payer relations
  • Participating in annual Patient Care Committee and sub-committee meetings
  • Evaluating, treating, and directing skilled treatment for patients
  • Maintaining ongoing documentation
  • Completing all required documentation
  • Maintaining open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third party payors
  • Attending and/or participating in facility meetings
  • Completing sufficient ongoing continuing education coursework
  • Maintaining a current CPR certification
