Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably supplier quality.
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and root cause investigations.
  • Familiarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using measurement and testing equipment.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Computer literacy and experience working with enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to pass required physical, drug, driving, and background checks.
  • Alignment with the company's core values.
Responsibilities
  • Select, evaluate, approve, and continuously evaluate suppliers.
  • Conduct quality management system and technical supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality management systems and applicable industry standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities for supplier-related nonconformances.
  • Review and disposition nonconforming materials received from suppliers.
  • Review and approve supplier quality documentation, inspection plans, and manufacturing processes.
  • Support incoming inspection activities and disposition nonconforming materials.
  • Review and approve supplier-requested changes to processes, materials, or tooling.
  • Collaborate with engineering and sourcing teams during new product introductions and supplier selection.
  • Track supplier quality metrics and drive continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, and reliability.
Desired Qualifications
  • ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Certified Quality Engineer certification.
