Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent; alternatively, an associate degree and two years of experience in the functional area, or a high school diploma or equivalent plus four years of experience in the functional area.
  • An additional one year of progressive experience in the functional area.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage loan products and documentation requirements.
  • Working knowledge of compliance regulations governing mortgage lending and loan processing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of loan origination systems, document management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional judgment, attention to detail, and analytical skills to identify errors, discrepancies, and potential risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to contribute significantly to processes and systems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and decisions in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and other relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate mortgage closings.
  • Schedule closings and coordinate with all involved parties to ensure everyone is prepared.
  • Prepare necessary loan documents, including promissory notes, deeds of trust, and other required paperwork.
  • Review loan packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure loan documents meet internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards.
  • Review closing packages to address discrepancies and outstanding items.
  • Facilitate the funding process and verify that all closing conditions are met before authorizing disbursement of funds.
  • Provide customer service to borrowers and internal teams, answer inquiries, provide clarifications, and help resolve closing-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of closing activities and loan transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the closing process.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to implement efficient workflows and best practices.
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
