Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement
  • CFC Universal Certification required
  • Maintenance Technician for at least 1-5 years
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in multi-family housing and mid to large size facility operations required
  • Current driver's license without major violations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook required
  • General understanding and use of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Building automation systems experience a plus
  • Yardi experience a plus
  • Exposure to budgeting and basic accounting
  • Understands elevator maintenance, fire sprinkler/alarm systems and high-rise buildings
  • Proficient with computers and relevant computer programs
  • Outgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group of people and build strong relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively as a team contributor on applicable assignments
  • Ability to respond to others' needs in a timely and courteous manner
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends, as needed including on-call rotation
  • Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment and learn in a growing organization

Responsibilities
  • Provide Class “A” customer service - Building a good rapport with residents and going above and beyond whenever possible
  • Protect and assist in improving the value of the client's assets and ensure that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function
  • Perform PM on apartments and building equipment
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of property both interior and exterior
  • Perform emergency on-call service in a rotation order
  • Perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and appliance repairs
  • Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors
  • Make units ready for new move‐ins
  • Maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems
  • Complete grounds work such as grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping, as necessary
  • Mentor Maintenance Technicians assigned to the property by assigning work orders, scheduling apartment turnovers, and coordinating vendors and contractors in maintenance manager's absence
  • Perform other duties as assigned
