Workato opens South Korea office and data center to help enterprises integrate AI with legacy systems

Workato has opened a national office and data center in South Korea to help Korean enterprises integrate AI systems with legacy IT infrastructure. The move comes as Korea's AI Basic Act takes effect, requiring operators of high-impact AI to maintain five-year safety-reliability documentation. Korea is already the second-largest market globally for paid ChatGPT subscriptions, trailing only the United States, according to OpenAI data reported by Reuters. Claude usage in the country runs at more than 3.5 times what population size alone would predict, according to Anthropic. The expansion includes a local office and dedicated team, a new data center, and continued investment in Workato's Korean partner ecosystem. The company aims to help Korean manufacturers bridge decades-old ERP and manufacturing execution systems with AI tools whilst meeting new governance requirements.

Lenovo and Workato expand Qira ecosystem with new cross-app AI experiences.

Lenovo and Workato expand Qira ecosystem with new cross-app AI experiences. New integrations help Lenovo(TM) and Motorola(R) Qira users move from intent to action across everyday apps and services using natural language. 3 September 2026 September 3, 2026 - Lenovo today announced a strategic collaboration with Workato to expand the connected ecosystem behind Lenovo and Motorola Qira, with Workato serving as the connectivity layer powering Lenovo Qira's underlying Model Context Protocol (MCP) server infrastructure. Through the collaboration, Lenovo Qira will be able to connect with many of the tools people already use to work, plan, communicate, and stay organized, helping users move more seamlessly from intent to action across apps and services through natural language. Initial integrations include Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Trello, Asana, and Discord, allowing users to accomplish tasks without constantly switching between services. Additional integrations are planned as Lenovo continues to expand the Lenovo Qira ecosystem. For example, a user could ask, "Hey Lenovo Qira, create a Trello task for my website redesign project," or "Hey Lenovo Qira, share today's meeting notes with my team in Discord." Instead of manually moving between applications, Lenovo Qira helps users continue from a single natural language request across connected services. "Lenovo Qira is designed to understand your context across devices and help you move naturally from intent to action. It knows you, it acts in your world and is private to only you," said Dan Dery, Vice President of AI Ecosystem, Lenovo. "Working with Workato brings together Lenovo's global device reach with an enterprise-grade integration platform to deliver a more ambient AI experience that works across the apps and services users already rely on. It is the first phase of a multi-stage agreement, beginning with Lenovo Qira for consumers and extending toward a broader Lenovo Qira marketplace." "Agentic AI becomes significantly more valuable when it can securely interact with the tools and services people already use," said Bhaskar Roy, Chief of AI, Workato. "We're excited to support Lenovo Qira with AI control and execution capabilities that help connect AI experiences to the applications, data, and workflows that matter most." For consumers, the collaboration further advances Lenovo Qira's vision as a built-in, cross-device intelligence that helps people interact more naturally with their devices, applications, and digital services. By combining Lenovo's AI experience with Workato's integration capabilities, Lenovo Qira helps users move from intent to action across connected services through natural language, spending less time switching between apps and more time getting things done. Looking ahead, Lenovo and Workato plan to explore additional integrations, agent experiences, marketplace capabilities, and opportunities for developer participation, helping expand the Lenovo Qira ecosystem and create greater value for users over time. Ema AI appoints Jonathan Feldman as Head of Revenue, Partnerships and Solutions to accelerate enterprise growth.

Ema AI appoints Jonathan Feldman as Head of Revenue, Partnerships and Solutions to accelerate enterprise growth. Organization taps experienced go-to-market leader to expand partner-led adoption of its AI employees in global organizations. Ema, the leading enterprise platform for agentic AI Employees, today announced that Jonathan Feldman has joined the company as Head of Revenue, Partnerships and Solutions, a role created to support the company's next phase of growth as it expands enterprise adoption of its AI employees for HR, IT and Finance. Feldman joins Ema after four years at Workato, where he advanced from the embedded platform team to Global Vice President of the AI business unit. At Workato, he built the AI business unit from the ground up, establishing its coverage model, pricing architecture, qualification framework and delivery motion. He also helped develop strategic partnerships with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Nvidia. "Jonathan has the rare combination of enterprise sales leadership, partner-building experience and deep fluency in what it takes to turn AI into business value," said Surojit Chatterjee, CEO of Ema AI. "He helped build a new AI business from the ground up at Workato and forged relationships with some of the most important companies shaping the frontier AI ecosystem. As Ema enters its next stage, partner ecosystems will be central to how we scale globally, and Jonathan is uniquely qualified to help us build that motion in a repeatable way. His leadership strengthens our ability to bring the Universal AI Employee to the world's largest enterprises." In his new role, Feldman will lead Ema's revenue, partnerships and solutions organization with responsibility for building a scalable partner ecosystem, strengthening cloud alliances, enabling reseller growth and creating a repeatable enterprise go-to-market motion. Feldman's background aligns closely with Ema's strategy of delivering enterprise AI through trusted channels and integrated workflows. Over the past two years, he has focused on helping enterprises realize business value from frontier AI by connecting AI systems to business context and trusted enterprise actions. Prior to Workato, he held enterprise sales leadership roles at Freshworks, Oracle and SAP. "Enterprise AI has reached an inflection point," Feldman said. "The market is moving beyond experimentation and asking a more important question: how do these systems create measurable business value inside real enterprise workflows? Ema stood out to me because it has built a differentiated platform and has a clear view of how to scale it - through technology, through ecosystem partnerships and through a go-to-market model that reflects how large enterprises actually buy and deploy. I'm here to help build on that foundation and work with the team to expand Ema's reach globally." Ema's platform strategy centers on enterprise-grade orchestration, multi-model routing and pre-built AI employees designed to support real business workflows. As the platform matures and partner-led expansion becomes a larger part of the go-to-market motion, Ema is positioning the Universal AI Employee to help global enterprises improve efficiency and employee experience across departments. Workato and L&T Technology Services launch FinShield AI fraud investigation assistant.

Workato and L&T Technology Services launch FinShield AI fraud investigation assistant. Enterprise AI control and execution platform Workato(R), alongside strategic Global Systems Integrator partner L&T Technology Services (LTTS), announced the launch of FinShield AI on the Workato Agentic Marketplace. The specialized agentic AI solution automates resource-heavy fraud investigation workflows for financial institutions while maintaining complete human oversight and auditability across all case decisions. Fraud case reviews represent one of the most time-consuming operational bottlenecks in modern banking. Reviewing transaction histories, gathering evidence, and compiling documentation traditionally requires two to three hours per case, tying up Level 1 investigation teams and delaying critical threat response times. FinShield AI automates these repetitive tasks to dramatically condense investigation cycles without relinquishing human decision-making control. "Fraud teams don't need another dashboard. They need the manual work taken off their plate without losing control of the decision," said David Ng, Global VP, Partner GTM and Alliances at Workato. "FinShield AI is what our Global ecosystem can build on Workato: a purpose-built agentic solution a bank can trust in a regulated environment, live on the Agentic Marketplace instead of stuck in a pilot." Key operational benchmarks and performance metrics. According to internal benchmarking and initial implementation data from LTTS, FinShield AI delivers substantial operational gains for fraud review divisions: Accelerated False-Positive Processing: Reduces false-positive review cycles from two to three hours down to under 10 minutes per case. Significant Workload Reduction: Cuts manual investigation workloads by 40% to 50%, enabling fraud specialists to focus on high-priority threats. Automated Regulatory Reporting: Generates audit-ready Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) automatically, saving four to six hours of manual documentation per case. Immediate Cost Efficiency: Early implementation results point to 20% to 25% cost savings across teams with more than 25 Level 1 investigators. "Fraud investigators should spend their time making critical decisions, not gathering data and documenting cases," said Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President, Strategic Initiatives & Growth Markets at L&T Technology Services. "FinShield AI automates repetitive work, reducing investigation time from hours to minutes while maintaining human oversight and a complete audit trail. Together with Workato, we are helping banks, fintechs, and credit unions bring trusted agentic AI into real-world operations." Built on governed multi-agent architecture. FinShield AI executes across three core automated workflows: active fraud investigation, suspicious activity report generation, and broad fraud pattern analysis. Operating on Workato's enterprise governance layer, every action performed by the agent is mapped directly to a verified user identity and recorded in a comprehensive audit trail for regulatory compliance. Leveraging Workato's orchestration infrastructure, LTTS developed and deployed the multi-agent agentic solution in five days - compared to conventional two- to three-week development cycles. FinShield AI is available immediately on the Workato Agentic Marketplace. Banking leaders, risk officers, and fintech executives can evaluate agent workflows and request deployment details by visiting Workato's digital marketplace platform.
