Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a clinical research and industry environment
  • Experience in managing multiple studies, including extensive experience in the management and oversight of CROs/vendors in an outsourced environment
  • Experience in line management of direct and contract staff in a remote working environment
  • Solid understanding of drug development
  • Experience developing processes, tools and training related to sponsor oversight activities
  • Excellent management skills with adaptability to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
  • Strong experience in establishing effective relationships with investigator sites
  • Working knowledge of relevant Health Canada, FDA, ICH GCP guidelines and local country/region regulations
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required domestically and internationally up to 15-20%.
  • French skills (in addition to English skills) are preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing region-specific strategies to drive study start-up activities, focusing on direct relationships with investigator sites to facilitate feasibility, site selection, and study initiation.
  • Establishing region-specific contract and budgeting strategies with key site networks/sites in collaboration with internal teams, promoting consistency across studies.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and CROs to streamline and standardize global study start-up processes and cycle times.
  • Building and managing a regional team to support site networking, feasibility, and site management tasks.
  • Collaborating with Clinical Operations Leads and Therapeutic Heads to support the regional development of initiatives aligned with portfolio needs.
  • Overseeing KPIs and metrics related to site feasibility, start-up, and site management, ensuring continuous improvement and quality data delivery.
  • Providing leadership in region-specific audits, inspections, and CAPA processes, working with R&D Quality and Clinical Compliance teams.
  • Managing, developing, and mentoring a team within your region, ensuring operational excellence in site management and start-up activities.
