Requirements
  • You have at least 4 years of experience, ideally gained in a financial institution or a banking department in a Big 4 consulting firm, tackling auditing or consolidation topics.
  • You excel at building relationships with external providers and cross-functional teams, with proven experience in driving consensus on complex accounting matters.
  • You have a track record of solving complex accounting challenges and implementing new standards.
  • You can explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders and create clear technical documentation for financial statements.
  • You are fluent in French and English.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the quarterly Qonto IFRS consolidation (changing scope, intercompany reconciliation, Cashflow Statement, Equity, OCI, IFRS entries)
  • Define with the Consolidation Manager the closing calendar and the closing instructions, and share them with the Accounting and FP&A teams
  • Contribute to the Qonto IFRS consolidated financial statements (including disclosures)
  • Implement and keep updated the accounting group standard manual
  • Participate in preparing IFRS accounting memorandums and set up new accounting standards (IFRS 18)
  • Participate in the potential integration of future M&A targets into our consolidation practices, ensuring alignment with IFRS and French GAAP
  • Contribute to the foreseeing impact of any operational development (new features, new product launch, etc.)
  • Work on the automation of the consolidated financial statements in the existing tool (Amelkis Opera)

"We Believe That Ai Fluency Is Important For Employability”, Says French Unicorn

Being fluent in AI is “important for employability”, according to a top tech executive with a leading French unicorn. Aymeric Augustin, CTO, Qonto, a French business banking fintech, says that more than half of Qonto’s 1,600 staff are using GenAI as a work tool, increasing from zero use to over 50 per cent in around four months. Augustin says it will help its employees be more employable in the future. He said:“We believe that AI fluency is important for employability."He added that Qonto hopes to have soon around 70 per cent of its staff using GenAI tools.
