PR & Communications Manager – Digital/Data

Job Introduction

A new opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable digital ambassador to work closely with the Managing Director of Digital and wider commercial marketing and comms team to elevate Mail Metro Media as a digital-first business via effective marketing and communications initiatives.

Key Purpose

• Develop and execute marketing and communications initiatives to promote Mail Metro Media’s brands, products and platforms – with a focus on digital, affiliate, commerce and audience data
• Raise industry profile and reputation for digital and data offering via trade titles, on a global scale
• Effectively communicate key messages to existing and potential advertising partners, predominantly media agencies and direct clients, ad tech and affiliate partners, industry and press
• Identify and secure effective opportunities for events, speaker opportunities and market comms
• Consistently deliver on a plan to position/reinforce Mail Metro Media’s position as the no.1 media owner to work with for digital and audience data, offering unrivalled commercial opportunities
• Support global team in digital first comms for their market, led by UK and global operations

Main Responsibilities

• Delivering digital-focused comms via emails, trade website and other marketing collateral
• Creating marketing newsletters to improve relationships with vendors and clients to raise the profile of the digital teams and individuals
• Producing, and regularly ghost-writing engaging content across digital-focused topics including data, programmatic and affiliates/commerce
• Writing and managing the submission of awards focused on digital and technical capability, audience data and emerging platforms
• Creating go to market collateral and thought pieces to promote the launches of new digital and data products
• Supporting Managing Director of Digital with social media posting, speaker opportunities, panels and content/comment for relevant industry titles
• Being an autonomous leader and self-learner staying ahead of all digital and data developments proactively suggesting content and materials to ensure Mail Metro Media is recognised as a digital first publisher

Person Specification

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a marketing/comms role in a digital/media environment
• Good knowledge and understanding of digital advertising and the media landscape
• Up to date, or preferably ahead of the curve, on current and new issues affecting the digital and data landscape, to proactively address them via communications strategies with key stakeholders

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Strong organisational and project-management skills
• Confident at managing multiple stakeholders
