Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive business development, sales, or consulting experience in technology, infrastructure, utilities, or related industries.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management office services, including project, program, and portfolio management.
  • Experience with project management office software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A proven track record of meeting business development targets and expanding into new markets.
  • The ability to write winning request for information, supplier survey, request for quotation, and request for proposal responses.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as SharePoint and Office 365.
  • Familiarity with project delivery models and the lifecycle of large-scale projects.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment under rigid time constraints and deadlines.
  • The demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment while managing teams and projects across geographically dispersed locations.
  • The ability to support East Coast and West Coast business hours as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Work with leadership to understand the organization’s project management office strengths and value proposition and develop strategies that result in sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new project management office business opportunities, leading business development initiatives end-to-end.
  • Drive the marketing of a complex project management office capabilities portfolio while acting as the primary client interface.
  • Create business cases on market options and opportunities while leading proposal efforts, including cost estimation, competition analysis, and ranking the most profitable initiatives to grow future revenue.
  • Analyze market trends and industry developments to find new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge in the high-tech, infrastructure, and utility sectors.
  • Maintain strong client relationships with key clients and business partners.
  • Attend networking activities and conferences to research and connect with prospective clients.
  • Work closely with the project management office leadership team to ensure understanding of client needs and service delivery models.
  • Participate in client debriefings and distribute lessons learned to improve performance.
  • Foster and maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the business unit and across the organization.
  • Build repeatable strategies to scale development efforts over time.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proven experience with financial management, including purchase orders, invoicing, costing, and budget oversight.
  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional.
  • Prior experience working in an engineering consulting environment.
  • An established network within data centers or technology organizations.

EIP-backed Guardian Infrastructure Services acquires E2 Consulting Engineers to expand utility services platform

Guardian Infrastructure Services, a utility-focused infrastructure platform backed by Energy Impact Partners, has acquired E2 Consulting Engineers, a leading provider of engineering and technical consulting services to electric and gas utilities across North America. Founded in 1988 by Hersh Saluja, E2 provides engineering, project management, inspection and field support services for critical utility infrastructure programmes including transmission reliability, wildfire mitigation, pipeline safety and grid investment initiatives. The acquisition significantly expands Guardian's engineering and technical services capabilities. The deal reflects EIP's strategy of building a scaled utility infrastructure services platform supporting grid modernisation, resiliency and energy transition programmes. Guardian plans to pursue growth through organic expansion and selective acquisitions adding complementary services. TD Cowen served as financial adviser to E2, whilst A&O Shearman and Nixon Peabody provided legal counsel.
