- A four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree is required.
- A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize time effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with spacecraft systems and operation.
- Must be onsite five days a week.
- Work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software.
- Operate and set up environmental test equipment including ambient thermal chambers, Thermal Vacuum Chambers (TVAC), vibration shaker tables, and electromagnetic interference/compatibility test equipment.
- Learn to use various pieces of test equipment and instruments (thermal chambers, vibration tables, data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, etc.) to successfully execute test plans.
- Set up, operate, and conduct environmental testing including vibration, acoustics, thermal, thermal vacuum, and radio frequency testing.
- Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing.
- Experience writing Python code to interface with test equipment, process large datasets, and visualize data.
- Experience in computer-aided design.
- Direct electrical or mechanical design experience.
- Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure.

Taipei, April 15 (CNA) Taiwan-based telecom service provider Chunghwa Telecom Co. recently signed a strategic agreement with Astranis Space Technologies Corp., an American satellite start-up, to develop the first dedicated compact geostationary orbit (MicroGEO) satellite for Taiwan.
Astranis, operator of a satellite internet company intended to bridge the digital divide, raised an additional $50 million of Series D venture funding from NTT Docomo Ventures, and other investors.
As part of this ambitious effort, Orbits first partnered with Astranis, the world's leading operator of dedicated communications satellites, to construct its latest satellite.
