Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, due diligence activities, Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) or real estate consulting.
  • Proven proficiency in due diligence activities and Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs), with the ability to identify and evaluate risks and opportunities.
  • Exceptional report-writing skills with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Business acumen and an interest in procuring business in the Chicago area.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software for assessments and reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy and deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Leverage analytical and data science skills to prepare and deliver data-backed solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence assessments, including property condition assessments, site evaluations, and risk identification.
  • Perform Facility Condition Assessments (FCAs) to evaluate the physical and functional condition of facilities, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports summarizing findings, providing actionable recommendations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Actively engage in the Chicago market to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including networking, relationship-building, and market research.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, property owners, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to secure new projects.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Oversee and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, providing clear and consistent communication throughout project lifecycles.
  • Monitor project performance and quality, addressing any issues that may arise.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Chicago-area regulations, permitting processes, and building codes is a significant advantage.
