Requirements

  • Dockmaster knowledge is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • The candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for valet customers.
  • Communicate job details and priorities to technicians.
  • Write work orders and assist the service manager with customer billing.
  • Assist customers with program sign-up, process billing, and maintain accurate records.
  • Initiate work orders and maintain control until they are closed and invoiced.
  • Schedule service work appropriately.
  • Track job status and progress, and communicate proactively with customers and employees.
  • Return phone calls and emails promptly.
  • Dispatch tickets to the appropriate technicians.
  • Create and update work orders with proper documentation.
  • Explain work to customers over the phone or during walkarounds.
  • Ensure parts are available for jobs before dispatch.
  • Ensure work is approved.
  • Track open work orders in the scheduling system.
  • Follow up with technicians and customers on progress.
  • Pre-sell and proactively suggest additional work.
  • Perform work-order audits to verify that all lines are addressed, pricing is accurate, and parts and subcontracted work are billed.
  • Pre-deliver closed work orders over the phone and answer customer questions.
  • Follow up with customers regarding future work.
  • Maintain neat and clean service facilities and equipment.
  • Read work-order requests and ensure boats are efficiently moved for rigging, pre-owned technicians, and haul-launch schedules.
  • Apply original equipment manufacturer and recommended maintenance schedules for boat engines and products.
  • Handle service department filing and records.
  • Write up service bulletins for engines and boats and generate repair orders.
  • Provide proactive and routine communication to support customer satisfaction with performance, products, and services.
  • Greet, welcome, and direct clients to appropriate locations and amenities.
  • Operate the main telephone line by answering calls promptly, transferring calls, and taking and communicating messages.
  • Support Gage Boat Club customers when the lead is off or unavailable.
