We are seeking a talented individual to join our PACE Broking team at Marsh. This role will be based in the London office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The role: Entertainment Broker (PACE)

The Personal Accident Contingency and Event’s team (PACE) are Marsh’s global placement hub for contingency and specialist personal accident insurance across the Marsh network.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with colleagues and clients across the Marsh global network to deliver a first-class solution for our music clients. Our client portfolio includes large multi-national organizations, a bespoke network of producers, touring artist, management companies, music accountants, lawyers and promoters. We engage from a wholesale and retail basis and typical work could include designing contingency programs for the largest promoters and event organizers to providing bespoke non-appearance coverage for individual artists. You will also act as the reference point for advice and technical expertise to client servicing teams and often direct to clients; forming strong bonds with clients that have contingency coverages as one of their largest premium spends.
The variety of opportunities across the network are vast and the ideal candidate will have significant client experience in the live music space, an eye for opportunity at seeking out prospects across the Marsh McLennan businesses as well as an enthusiasm to learn/develop their own broking capabilities in the specialist space as required.
We will rely on you to:
- Assist in implementation of a client strategy for new business and renewals working in close collaboration with broking colleagues
- Understand the business needs, insurance requirements and risk management strategy of our clients and convey this to insurers to achieve best in class placement solutions.
- Follow up and generate new leads from across the Marsh network.
- Be the go-to client contact on specialist music insurance questions maintaining a level of service where responds take no longer than 24hrs.
- Undertake appropriate research and analysis to select markets and design an insurance program to meet the client’s requirements
- Provide recommendations and advice on placement strategy, program structure and market conditions including occasional presentations to clients where appropriate.
- Provide regular updates to the Client Service teams on progress of insurer negotiations
- Utilise the online trading systems such as PPL Next Gen
- Fully document all quotations received and advise the clients of all terms and conditions
- Act as a referral point for the resolution of insurer queries
- Attend client and insurer meetings in partnership with the client service team
- Contribute to rolling risk management strategy with clients and insurers
- Ensure operational procedures are followed and can be demonstrated at all times including using our client filing portal Fusion
- Build strong relationships with insurers and seek feedback on Marsh’s service through ongoing dialogue.
What you need to have:
- Proven contingency or other entertainment insurance broking or client executive experience or underwriting experience is essential. Minimum 5 years.
- Exposure to global placements and experience in multinational program design and placement would be desirable
- Established market and client relationships.
- Awareness of Clients’ business, their business issues, insurance programs and service plans
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent insurer trading & negotiation skills
- Proven relationship management experience with a strong insurer/broker network of contacts
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
- A strong attitude for working within a team environment is essential.
