Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include testing key functionalities, setting up and verifying data, and reporting test results to the manager. Additionally, the candidate will interact with clients daily during testing phases to ensure that release testing defects are communicated and to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
The ideal candidate will be self-driven and capable of working independently, not only with test engineers and DevOps teams but also with business analysts and developers to review software design and requirements documentation and understand application functionality.
The role involves leading a team of test automation engineers, developing the test automation strategy, managing the automation framework, and overseeing Level of Effort (LOE) estimates, test plans, test case scripting, peer reviews, and test summary reports to ensure successful releases.
The candidate will also be responsible for manual and functional testing, creating automated test and performance test scripts using tools such as Selenium or Rational tools, and Performance and Functional Tester.
Required Skills:
Minimum 5-7 years of professional IT experience. Including:
- Functional: more than 5 years of solid experience with manual functional, regression, usability, integration, remote access, and accessibility testing
Automation and/or Performance:
- more than 4-5 years of experience with developing scripts from scratch with programming code. For example, Java, java script, python, etc.
- experience developing an automation framework from scratch
- Web services testing: 3 years of experience developing scripts using web services tool
- Database: Serves as SME in SQL, DB, back-end testing
- Develop LOE for own work and others
- Author test plans and reports
- Experience testing in an Agile development environment using tools such as JIRA, Confluence and Zephyr Scale to develop/execute functional and regression test scripts, Requirements Traceability, and manage defects
- Experience with Section 508 testing using tools such as JAWS, SortSite, Dragon, WAVE, or Lighthouse
- Leadership experience: leads, delegates, and mentors others
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with a client during User Acceptance Test sessions
- Experience developing level of effort estimates, test plans, test case scripting and test summary reports
- Experience with developing testing schedules
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills

Salary range: Salary Range: $105,000-120,000
