Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience in employee engagement and communications.
  • Experience in managing CRM/mass email systems such as Poppulo.
Responsibilities
  • Drafting and executing communications for distribution to Verizon Business employees.
  • Accurately targeting employee audiences to ensure that communications are delivered effectively and in compliance.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of employee engagement initiatives and building strategies to continuously improve effectiveness.
  • Identifying and promoting stories to help educate and inspire employees within Verizon Business and beyond.
  • Interacting and working collaboratively with the broader Employee Engagement team, as well as team members in PR, human resources, marketing, sales and operations teams.
  • Identifying positive stories and storytellers, empowering employees to share their experiences and preparing executives to tell the Verizon story through powerful and persuasive messaging, research and data.
  • Developing effective communications that clearly convey Verizon’s mission, actions, values, culture and strategy to support key business priorities.
  • Planning, producing and editing content for a variety of media including email announcements, presentations, events, leader messages and videos.
  • Proofreading and editing content, ensuring achievement of high editorial standards and alignment with our brand voice.
  • Coordinating the distribution of communications through a variety of channels.
  • Assisting in tracking and measuring the effectiveness of communications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Willingness to support multiple projects and clients and work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions.
  • Extreme attention to detail; holds internal and external partners to the same high standards.
  • Understanding of the complexities of working within a global organization and its impact on deliverables (e.g., global processes, languages, time zones, cultural differences, etc.).
  • Willingness to adapt quickly to changing priorities, pivot quickly, and respond with urgency.
  • Computer-savvy with experience using Google Suite tools.
  • Positive approach and commitment to collaboration with shared purpose.
  • Strong copyediting and proofreading skills.
  • Superb critical thinking skills and the willingness to take a concept from ideation and strategy to execution autonomously.
  • An excitement to grow at a fast-paced, Fortune 50 organization.
  • Experience in public relations, marketing, and social media.
  • Creative design skills.
