- Oversee the production of daily local news coverage in select markets, specifically Axios Local's newsletters
- Work closely with Axios editorial leadership to adapt Axios' “Smart Brevity” style to local news, shape how the Local product evolves, and develop synergy between local and national coverage
- Edit the work of a group of local journalists
- Curate local news coverage to write screens and stories in partnership with Local Reporters when needed
- Help conceive larger data-driven and analytical stories that are relevant at the local level with connections to national stories of importance
- Assist with research on important topics, events, and trends driving the conversation in select local markets
- Experience editing daily newsletters is a plus
