The Director of PMO will lead the Program Management Office within Collective Health responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and governance of projects across the organization. Reporting to the SVP of Engineering, this role will collaborate with various departments to optimize project delivery, enhance operational efficiency, and align project outcomes with strategic business objectives.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, grow and manage the program management organization, providing leadership and guidance to drive successful program execution
- Responsible for the workforce planning and allocation of resources for the organization through a team of project managers and technical program managers
- Ensure product development resources are aligned to the top priorities of the organization
- Work closely with the Engineering and Product leadership to streamline the PDLC and contribute to the product and technology strategy
- Establish and implement quarterly planning, resource allocation, and capacity planning for product development initiatives.
- Ensure the organization effectively implements and adheres to agile software development practices.
- Define and manage the operating rhythms for the product development team including execution and business reviews
- Drive, own and be accountable for on-time and quality delivery of critical initiatives
- Coordinate efforts between product development, customer experience, and implementation teams to ensure alignment of product objectives with overall business goals.
- Facilitate regular communication and updates regarding project statuses, risks, and achievements.
- Bring a culture of “bias to action” and improve speed of execution
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- 15+ years of experience in program management with 5+ years of experience building and managing a team of Program Managers and leading complex technical initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team
- Experience managing and mentoring a team of project managers and technical program managers
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about technology and business challenges
- Experience with various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile / SAFe, Waterfall).
- Experience leading teams responsible for building and shipping consumer or enterprise facing products
- Knowledge of software development processes and best practices
- High level of proficiency in project management software such as Jira
- Ability to lead multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Transparency Statement
This is a hybrid position based out of one of our offices: San Francisco, CA, Plano, TX, or Lehi, UT. Hybrid employees are expected to be in the office three days per week (Plano, TX) or two days per week (San Francisco, CA and Lehi, UT. #LI-hybrid
The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to the salary, you will be eligible for stock options and benefits like health insurance, 401k, and paid time off. $189,000—$237,000 USD
Lehi, UT Pay Range
$151,000—$188,500 USD
Plano, TX Pay Range
$166,000—$207,500 USD
