Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute commercial strategy for all products and services across direct and indirect sales channels.
  • Provide leadership to the organization and support senior staff on strategic, cross-functional, and change initiatives.
  • Participate in long-term business plan development, annual operating planning, forecasting, goal deployment, monthly business reviews, talent development, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President and General Manager to foster transformational leadership and apply change-management best practices.
  • Develop sales plans and growth strategies, including channel and territory strategies, to achieve the business revenue plan.
  • Set long- and short-range goals, quotas, and budgets for Account Sales Managers, the Business Development Manager, and the Marketing Manager.
  • Guide the sales team in developing customer playbooks and communication strategies.
  • Work with Account Sales Managers to allocate commercial resources and travel expenditures in support of customer engagement and revenue growth.
  • Facilitate training for Account Sales Managers to increase sales and service levels.
  • Work with business-unit leadership and marketing to develop policies regarding contractual agreements, technical support, and training.
  • Monitor and evaluate product sales, competitor activity, and overall market conditions, and report findings to business-unit leadership and Product Management to influence product-roadmap priorities.
  • Provide annual and rolling 12-month forecasts by units and dollars, region, distribution partner, and direct customer, with quarterly forecasts by product or market segment as needed.
  • Participate in or lead Kaizen and rapid-improvement events focused on proposal-to-cash processes to optimize operations by eliminating waste.
  • Develop weekly management processes to track progress toward monthly, quarterly, and six-month rolling goals.
  • Lead the commercial war-room process to increase the share of new products and expand into new markets.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date information is included in the Microsoft Dynamics customer relationship management system.
  • Partner with Professional Services teams to align commercial and customer-success objectives.
  • Cultivate an inclusive, high-performance culture through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and accountability.
  • Lead and develop sales and service teams while implementing customer-facing metrics and performance goals that support revenue growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in industry functions that increase market awareness of Toptech Systems and its products.
  • Create sales strategies for entering new markets and expanding current markets.
  • Develop global channels to increase the share of terminal automation software, hosted software, and hardware solutions in horizontal markets.
  • Work with channel partner managers and marketing personnel to develop relationships and programs that support market entry and maximize current markets.
  • Set and monitor pricing policies that maximize stakeholder returns while increasing market share in conjunction with Product Management.
  • Work with finance and operations to ensure sales, on-time delivery, quality, and accounts-receivable targets are met.
  • Conduct ongoing performance management, coaching, feedback, and the annual Organizational Talent Cycle.
  • Develop and execute commercial strategy to achieve revenue growth, profitability, market-share expansion, and customer-retention objectives.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and translate customer insights into strategic business recommendations.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets while upholding ethical standards and complying with the IDEX Standards of Conduct and Business Ethics Policy.
  • Ensure customer information in customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning systems is accurate, current, and useful for customer management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Complete responsibilities in a timely manner while maintaining budget constraints.
