Position Overview:

As the Head of People, you will be a key member of our leadership team, bringing a practical, business-leader-centric perspective to our people operations. You will leverage your extensive experience to oversee all aspects of human resources, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and compliance.

The impact you’ll make:

• Strategic Leadership: Guide the company’s people operations strategy, including workforce planning, organizational development, and employee experience, to support the company’s growth.
• Event Planning and Management: Oversee the planning and execution of company-wide events such as CKOs and other significant gatherings, managing Return-To-Office (RTO) logistics and weekly company stand-ups
• Employee Engagement and Culture: Conduct engagement surveys, drive benefits and compensation strategy to drive performance and retention, and facilitate bi-annual performance review processes to foster a culture of high performance and recognition.
• Talent Management: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes. Develop and oversee manager training programs and employee enablement initiatives to support and empower all team members to achieve their full potential.
• Legal Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, manage company exposure to risks, and advise on best practices and legal and ethical standards.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, and develop a team of Office Managers, HR Generalists, HR Business Partners, and Recruiters to enable the business and achieve Company objectives. 

The amazing skills you bring to Ambient.ai:

• Proven experience in a leadership role, ideally within a B2B venture-backed startup experience (Series B-C).
• Must have a strong generalist background, including employee relations, business partner work, benefits, compensation, compliance, etc.
• Practical, business-leader-centric approach to people operations, with experience navigating companies through growth and challenging times.
• Legal savvy, with a strong understanding of compliance, employment laws, and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and lead teams of administrative and HR professionals.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, capable of fostering a culture of openness and transparency.

We take a market-based approach to pay here at Ambient.ai, and pay may vary depending on multiple factors. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, level, market conditions, and internal parity. 

Base salary is just one component of our total rewards package. As a fast-growing start-up, our regular employees are also granted stock options and an opportunity to succeed when Ambient.ai succeeds.  As a young start-up with product market fit, our stock upside is substantial and a large part of our total rewards strategy. 

The pay scale below represents the starting base salary range we expect to pay for this position and is subject to change*: 

SF Bay Area:  $200,000 - $225,000

*Occasionally, we may offer a candidate that is either leveled below or above this role based on skills, experience, and interview performance.
