Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology program is required.
  • A New York State Radiology license is required.
  • New York State certification for intravascular media injection is required, or the employee must be able to obtain it within six months of hire.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Radiology and MRI, ARRT (R)(MR), is required.
  • Continuing education credits must be maintained according to American Registry of Radiologic Technologists requirements.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records, radiology information systems, hospital information systems, picture archiving and communication systems, and modality-specific software is required.
  • Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund is required.
Responsibilities
  • Work within the MRI department as an MRI Technologist.
  • Help optimize workflow and ensure the delivery of high-quality imaging services.
  • Perform MRI technologist duties in a high-volume diagnostic care environment, including support for complex cases.
  • Work closely across specialties to support diagnostic imaging services.
  • Work full-time evening shifts Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with alternating weekends and holidays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with GE technology.
  • At least one year of experience in diagnostic imaging.
