  • Understand the European electrical transmission system and the interconnections between the various European grids.
  • Strong understanding of EDF system optimisation process at DA stage
  • Understand power plant operating principles.
  • Fluent in English. A good working level in any other European languages (French, German, Dutch, Spanish and Italian) also appreciated.
  • Visual Basic, Python - C++ (optional)
Responsibilities
  • Conduct intraday electricity trading activities and day ahead system optimisation at weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain real-time understanding of EDFT’s intraday physical electricity position on the European electricity markets.
  • Understand fundamental price drivers in the European intraday electricity markets.
  • Adhere to EDFT trading procedures including trade logistics systems.
  • Communicate and coordinate intraday trading activities with rest of intraday team and other relevant persons.
  • Any other duties as directed by manager.
