Requirements
  • A master's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, or another relevant behavioral science in which clinical experience is a program requirement.
  • Certification as an LPC, LPC-A, LCSW, LMSW, and/or LMSW-AP.
  • Two years of postgraduate direct clinical service delivery experience.
  • Completion of ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, and ICS 800 courses.
  • Completion of IS-242.c, IS-366.a, IS-368.a, IS-403, and IS-405 within 90 days of hire.
  • Adherence to professional integrity and accountability standards and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • A valid driver's license and a driving record in good standing with no restrictions.
  • Ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff members, service providers, professionals, and clients.
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain professional composure, and make decisions based on program and service-population needs.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to use cellular, two-way radio, satellite, and other communication systems to provide situational awareness.
  • Ability to perform extensive walking, stretching, bending, and occasional lifting of more than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work extended and non-traditional hours, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and austere conditions.
  • Successful completion of scheduled or spontaneous drug screening and a background check.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Understand and adhere to the National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual.
  • Foster a culture that encourages team members to work safely, identify potential hazards, and report safety concerns immediately through the direct chain of command.
  • Maintain active status within agency platforms, including learning management systems, and complete directed self-improvement, mission-specific, or Just-In-Time training.
  • Conduct intake interviews and assess clients.
  • Prepare goal-oriented psychosocial diagnostic assessments, service plans, and progress reports.
  • Provide case consultations, one-to-one counseling, and crisis intervention for clients.
  • Maintain therapeutic services within National EMR and funding-source guidelines.
  • Develop and implement client tracking and status reports for monthly clinical-department review and audit.
  • Provide admission and discharge data to support staff for maintenance of the permanent National EMR Census.
  • Monitor and assist caseworkers and case aides in client supervision and milieu activities.
  • Participate in or facilitate primary therapeutic or psychoeducational groups and activities.
  • Interview each assigned client and complete a preliminary service plan within 72 business hours.
  • Participate in weekly case staffing with the treatment team to review client progress and compliance.
  • Review client files to ensure proper documentation of therapeutic plans and services.
  • Obtain and maintain working knowledge of state licensing standards and funding-source guidelines.
  • Attend and participate in 20 hours of continuing education annually to maintain certifications dependent on current licensure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
