CAD Technician / Designer @ Lochmueller Group

We are looking for a talented and experienced Civil CAD Technician or Designer to join our Water Resources team. This position can be based out of any of our Indiana offices: Evansville, Indianapolis, Jeffersonville, South Bend, Mishawaka, or Fort Wayne.

In this position the candidate will:

Produce drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit for projects pertaining to design, plans, and specifications for Water Resources projects that include water, wastewater, and stormwater.
Prepare GIS exhibits for design and planning studies.
Perform quantity computations and checks.
Read and interpret schematic and construction plans.
Understand and work with surveying data provided by survey department.
Apply basic engineering standards to plan development and layout.
Ensure project designs are in conformance with the latest design specifications and various Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations.
Completes tasks assigned by the Project Engineer/Manager within allocated budget and schedule and proactively communicate status of task assignments.
Perform related work as required.

Qualifications for this role:

Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge and experience
5+ years of relevant CAD experience
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS and geometric functions
A general understanding of construction material and practices, and the ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of current state/county standards and specifications procedures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
