We are currently looking to hire a Senior Accounting Process Improvement Specialist to join our Corporate team in Pittsburgh, PA!

*This position allows for remote working arrangements within the United States.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position supports general ledger accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and annual audits within the accounting team. Further, this position will drive systematic ERP-based process improvement across all transactional cycles.

*The ideal candidate for this position is a self-driven individual with a strong accounting background who is committed to a 2-year development effort to deepen their knowledge of accounting transaction cycles, learn and implement best practices, and position themselves as a future accounting leader within a rapidly growing company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the general ledger and ensures accuracy of financial transactions
Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Ability to understand and drive best practice process improvement
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform analytical reviews on P&L accounts
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Drive cross-training and a shared learning environment through effective documentation, processes, and transactional cycles
Ability to understand and document support around key accounting assumptions
Tactical execution of financial projects (both internal and external)
Drive systematic ERP-based changes to accounting systems and procedures
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Additional duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Preferably 3+ years of Big 4 public accounting experience
This position requires up to 10% travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

CPA certification

Pittsburgh, PA Pay Range

$90,000—$110,000 USD
