  • 3 to 5 years of paralegal experience in workers’ compensation strongly preferred.
  • Strong personal injury litigation experience will be considered, especially where discovery and high-volume case management were core responsibilities.
  • Exceptional candidates with 1 to 2 years of paralegal experience and a strong academic or professional track record may be considered, but they must demonstrate high capacity, maturity, and the ability to learn fast.
  • Proven ability to draft and respond to discovery without needing step-by-step instruction.
  • Comfortable managing multiple discovery tracks at once and keeping your attorney ahead of deadlines.
  • Experience preparing for hearings, mediations, and depositions in a fast-moving litigation environment.
  • Demonstrated success handling 90 or more active cases or a similar high-volume docket.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a busy, fast-paced workers’ comp or PI practice.
  • Able to prioritize quickly, shift gears as cases develop, and still keep files clean and current.
  • Mission-oriented and either already passionate about helping injured workers or open to developing that passion.
  • Mature, self-motivated, and solutions focused, with the attitude of “If I act like an adult, I’m treated like an adult.”
  • Not a job hopper. You’re looking for a place to commit, learn, and grow, not just your next short stop.
  • Primarily an in-office role based in Atlanta, with some flexibility for occasional remote or flex days consistent with firm policy.
Responsibilities
  • Tracking important appointments, legal documents in addition to filing deadlines for designated clients and cases while maximizing Game Changing Attorney’s time, potential and efficiency.
  • Draft discovery requests, respond to discovery, prepare responses to interrogatories and requests for production, and manage discovery deadlines.
  • Coordinate with clients to gather information and documents needed to complete responses accurately and on time.
  • Track all key dates, including discovery cutoffs, hearings, mediations, IMEs, depositions, and Board deadlines.
  • Ensure your attorney is fully prepared, no deadline is missed, and follow up tasks after each event is completed.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients after they are signed.
  • Provide updates, explain the process in plain language, gather necessary information, and help clients feel supported during what is often one of the most stressful periods of their lives.
  • Request, receive, and organize medical records, wage information, and other documentation needed to support claims.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy so the attorney can quickly assess exposure, treatment status, and settlement posture.
  • Work one-on-one with an assigned attorney, anticipating needs, preparing case summaries, drafting routine pleadings and correspondence, and flagging issues that require legal strategy decisions.
  • Bring solutions and recommendations, not just problems.
  • Coordinate with defense counsel, adjusters, and other parties regarding discovery, scheduling, and routine case progress.
  • Keep interactions professional, firm, and aligned with the client’s interests and the attorney’s litigation strategy.
  • Prepare hearing and mediation binders, exhibits, and witness materials.
  • Assist with settlement documentation and follow up, including ensuring orders, releases, and related paperwork are completed and processed efficiently.
  • Follow existing workflows while looking for practical ways to streamline tasks, reduce bottlenecks, and improve how information moves between clients, the court, and the legal team.
