JOB SUMMARY
ONEOK is looking for an IT Applications Professional IV with a minimum of 6-10 years of Measurement or related energy experience. We are looking for an individual with the experience and skills to support vendor applications such as Quorum FLOWCAL and TESTit to support Gas, Crude, and NGL Measurement functions. This role is expected to go beyond obtaining foundational knowledge and must have a teaching mindset to be a resource for others.
The ideal candidate should be able to lead or influence a team and tackle open-ended projects with somewhat ambiguous problems. This job will require proficiency with configuration, upgrading, testing and troubleshooting the Quorum FLOWCAL software, and possibly other vendor software. In addition, the job will require competency with building custom reports and solutions using programming languages such as SQL, Crystal, Python, or PowerShell.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the team’s timely delivery of the right business outcomes and solutions. The ideal candidate must be able to partner with Measurement personnel to define the technical and functional roadmap required to build the right solutions. They should be able to break well defined solutions into tasks and leverage data to communicate findings effectively.
The successful candidate must be able to build reliable and secure solutions, follow best practices, and work with peers to learn from mistakes through retrospectives and code reviews. Any solutions produced must meet a high level of quality to ensure continued supportability and scalability, as well as reusability where possible. This includes ensuring that solutions are versioned and tracked for reproducibility, deployments are automated, and running applications are monitored.
This position is eligible for remote work in one of the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming. This position will require some travel for office meetings, as needed, to our corporate office in Tulsa, OK.
Job Profile Summary
Lead role responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle for both package and custom developed applications, including in software design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Works independent with limited supervision as subject matter expert (SME), to design, develop, test, deploy and maintain software solutions as prioritized by the business including creating and updating system documentation and training materials
Lead design, development, testing, maintenance and documentation of reliable and scalable software solutions, as prioritized by the business, according to facts, policies and practices that will support user requirements
Manage large projects and processes through entire system development life cycle
Lead gathering and documenting of business requirements to determine capabilities to be delivered. Consult with users on priorities, complexities and other impacts of the requirements. Provide time and cost estimates for proposed changes resulting from the requirements
Coordinate and communicate development activities with other team members, infrastructure personnel, vendors and management
Follow defined change control and compliance procedures associated with software development, including all required documentation and governance standards.
Identify opportunities to deploy existing solutions in other business areas
Interact with business users via consulting and training to ensure effective use of technology solutions
Collaborate with key process owners on the documentation of difficult, complex application defects, enhancements and/or projects
Coach, review and delegate to lower level professionals

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, computer science, mathematics, or other related field or equivalent combination of formal education and job-related experience
