Requirements
- Sell our trading capabilities to potential clients, and ensure dealers have the necessary information to execute trades successfully and drive sell-side trading activity
- Build relationships with MarketAxess's dealer desks and provide market coverage to facilitate open trading
- Be an expert on the market, anticipate client needs, and pursue opportunities to increase market share
- Work with the sales team to proactively identify solutions and new product development that will drive growth of Open Trading in the US
- Increase participation in Open Trading from dealers across protocols
- Leverage dealer feedback, industry/competitor intelligence to effectively communicate product requirements to Product Specialists/Developers for systems enhancements, functionality and usability
- Assist in developing junior members of the team
- Present Open Trading metrics to communicate strategy, trends, accomplishments and goals to management
- Actively build a new business pipeline, call on clients and develop relationships with sell-side traders; entertain clients during and after work hours as needed
- Develop, pursue and push through to closing, high value opportunities
- Conduct detailed needs assessment for prospective partners focused on their business needs and strategic priorities
- Manage daily and weekly activities, pipelines, forecasts and closed deals to ensure above quota results based on successful pipeline management
- Serve as a MarketAxess brand ambassador to deliver and maintain a high standard of client experience
- 6+ years of experience in a sales capacity
- Prior broker/dealer, inter-dealer, or other electronic trading venue experience
- Previous experience using the MarketAxess platform, preferred
- Detailed knowledge of the fixed income markets, preferably investment grade, high yield and Emerging Markets
- Passion for electronic trading and the resilience to effectively promote its continued evolution through MarketAxess products
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (eg. negotiation, consultative skills)
- Track record of exceeding goals and quotas
- Excellent ability to manage through influence and superb written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to successfully partner across functions and lines of business
- Ability to travel as needed for training and client engagement
- Bachelor's degree in finance, or related field
- Series 7 and 63 licensed
- Must be able to work in the office 4 days per week
Responsibilities
- We are seeking a Dealer Sales Relationship Manager to join our Dealer Sales team dedicated to creating a centralized, all-to-all corporate bond & emerging markets marketplace that helps to increase overall market liquidity by vastly expanding the number of potential trading counterparties
- This position will be based in New York City. Some travel will be required
