Requirements
  • Completion of college or university degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial or similar), required.
  • 5 plus years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, 5S)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MES systems (e.g., HYDRA)
  • Comfortable with digital tools for scheduling, reporting, and performance tracking
Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, product quality, and workplace safety.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective process improvements that minimize waste and increase operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes, technologies, and equipment.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze process data to identify trends and recommend solutions for ongoing improvement.
  • Conduct process capability studies and apply statistical analysis to support data-driven decision-making and achieve production targets.
  • Perform detailed evaluations of existing manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend effective solutions.
  • Design and implement process optimization strategies aimed at reducing cycle times, improving product quality and increasing throughput.
  • Work closing with engineering, production and quality assurance teams to develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and work instructions.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as cycle time, yield, and scrap rate, and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Implement process control measures, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), to ensure consistent product quality and minimize variation.
  • Provide technical support and trouble shooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Lead process validation activities, including protocol development, execution, and documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training and support on new processes, procedures, and equipment to ensure successful adoption and sustained performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Champion a strong safety culture focused on zero workplace injuries. Ensure timely reporting of near misses, hazardous conditions, and first aid incidents to the proper HSE staff, and collaborate on preventive initiatives.
  • Enforce corporate HSE policies and ensure compliance with ISMS, ISO 9001 standards and facility specific guidelines and all employees complete the proper and required training.
  • Support and review accident/incident investigations, implement corrective actions and participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) activities and regular inspections, as needed.
  • Lead and continuously improve the 5S program to maintain clean, organized and safe work environment.
  • Support the environmental sustainability efforts and metrics in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality and productivity.
  • Participate in audits, management of change reviews to ensure compliance and drive operations excellence. Identify and resolve root causes of non-conformances and discrepancies in production data using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Support the development, implementation and enforcement of standardized work instructions and task analyses to promote consistency and reduce variability.
