Harvey AI Raises $500M for Legal Tech

Harvey AI has raised over $500 million, signaling a major investment in "AI law agents" as transformative tools in the legal industry. Unlike traditional legal tech, these AI agents act independently, raising concerns about ethics and governance. Investors like a16z are betting on Harvey to overcome adoption barriers, but the legal field's conservative nature demands robust oversight. The shift could impact the training and retention of future legal professionals, necessitating strong ethical guardrails.
