Who you are:
As a Software Developer, you understand the performance impact of clean code, multi-threading, good software design and scalability. You will find reward in building robust software that can function 24/7 with no down time. What you’ll do:
The Software Developer will be part of a team who builds a state of the art telematics platform that makes sense of the data collected by our custom built hardware. We receive detailed data and metrics for millions of vehicles and devices globally, which is processed and interpreted to create actionable information for our customers. You will write high performance C# code to process and store this information in real-time.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Assist in the design and implementation of new software applications in collaboration with other members of the development and technical teams.
- Contribute to comprehensive code reviews and ensure that coding standards are followed.
- Analyze call stacks, trace files, performance data to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of bugs.
- Write quality, in-depth software in a variety of programming languages and environments.
- Assist in maintaining best practices Perform Test-Driven and Security-Driven Development.
- Help maintain code quality, organization and automation.
- Perform maintenance programming for existing applications.
What you’ll bring to this role:
- 2+ years of relevant working experience.
- Solid understanding of object-orientated or functional programming in C#.
- Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, ES6, jQuery) and JavaScript frameworks(e.g. React, Node.js, Vue.js).
- Experience with SQL database design, optimization and writing queries.
- Working knowledge of web services including REST and MVC.
- Working knowledge with Git and Jira.
- Working knowledge of Cloud computing experience with GC, AWS, or Azure.
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Electrical/Software Engineering or other related degree.
