PURPOSE
This is a rare opportunity to join a multifaceted and active department that integrates with almost every area of campus. You will be working with dedicated individuals to help maintain the highest level of content creation, quality control, customer service and support.
The Web Administrator, under direction, creates and implements a variety of online solutions including site programming, graphical imagery, responsive content layout and an overall superior user experience. Maintenance duties would also include site optimization, user experience improvements, event calendar management, and identifying and correcting spelling and linking issues. In addition to maintenance duties, provide support throughout the campus community as it relates to web accessibility, content best practices, quality control and overall brand guidance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Functional Area 1: Operations
Percent Effort: 80%
Support implementation of our web content strategy to meet business goals by maximizing the impact and consistency of our web content.
Perform ADA compliance checks on a weekly basis across the university’s web presence using department scanning and indexing tools, documenting issues, establishing a maintenance schedule, applying fixes and communicating to all affected sites within the university.
Provide training for staff and faculty as needed to maintain our web identity, best practices and quality control.
Functional Area 2: Support
Percent Effort: 10%
Assist in managing service desk work orders throughout the day to support other campus CMS users diagnose issues or assist with content updates.

Collaborate with on-campus clients and web developers to maintain a consistent user experience.
Functional Area 3: Other
Percent Effort: 10%
Face-to-face and person-to-person interactions are required.
Maintain a regular course of attendance during assigned work schedule and work extended hours when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree.
Additional experience may be considered as a substitution for the education requirement to include:
High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience.
Associate’s Degree and two (2) years of related experience.
Experience in web design and development.
Experience with Foundation framework, PHP, HTML5, CSS, SASS and Velocity.
Knowledge of Cascade Content Management System (CMS) a plus.
Working knowledge of the Adobe CC suite, most importantly, Photoshop and Dreamweaver.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, etc).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Some travel may be required
Some nights and weekends may be required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) years of professional web maintenance and development experience.
Experience in project management.
SALARY: up to $19.23/hourly.
up to $40,000/annually, approximately.
