About the role
Techno is seeking a Civil MEP Inspector to join our team on an exciting water infrastructure project in Washington, DC. This role will support the construction and inspection activities for a freshwater pump station (non-sewage), ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
What you'll do
- Perform daily inspections of MEP components, with a focus on freshwater pump systems, mechanical, and HVAC installations.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with design documents, codes, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and agency representatives to resolve field issues.
- Document inspection results, maintain detailed records, and provide progress reports.
- Ensure proper installation and functioning of pumps, piping, HVAC units, and related mechanical systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience inspecting MEP systems on freshwater pump stations or similar infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, and general civil construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with municipal water projects preferred.
- Experience with DC Water projects is highly beneficial.
- OSHA safety training or relevant certifications a plus.

The expected salary range for this role in the DC Metropolitan Area is $45 - $50 per hour. The total compensation, including salary and bonuses, is determined by various factors such as experience, skill level, location, and qualifications, which are evaluated during the interview process
