Splunk is looking for a Google Analytics Architect to drive set-up, ongoing governance and optimization of our GTM instance. This role requires deep knowledge of GTM and a consistent track record in setting up and leading GTM for a range of B2B organizations. We are looking for a hands-on configuration and administration player that wants to dig in and drive tools and processes across the entire digital ecosystem. This role will support daily system utilization and stability, including developing governance protocols, continually improving user experience and functionality and aiding users with reporting and system/process optimization.

You will work closely with teams across the enterprise, ranging from Go-To-Marketing sales and marketing teams to IT and operations teams. What you’ll get to do

As a Google Tag Manager Expert on the Marketing Operations Team, you will have the opportunity to drive a wide range of initiatives:

Setup, manage, and troubleshoot Google Tag Manager
Implement tracking tags using GTM for various digital platforms
Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure optimal GTM performance
Provide regular updates and reports on GTM performance
Ensure that all GTM activities comply with data privacy regulations
Develop new solutions for complex tracking and tagging requirements based on changing business needs
Conducts Quality assurance of the implemented solutions
Ensure pixel and tag changes are implemented accurately and efficiently.
Conduct thorough testing to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during implementations or releases.
Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.
Communicate effectively with partners about releases, updates, and changes in the

Must-have Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in Google Tag Manager: setting up, managing, and troubleshooting (including using custom Javascript)
At least 3 years of experience in Google Analytics, including some hands-on experience with GA4
Proven experience in implementing tracking tags using GTM
Deep understanding of digital marketing, web analytics, and data privacy regulations
Highly skilled at time-management, is detail oriented and has high standards for project delivery.
Self-starter with a passion and curiosity for solving unstructured data problems and ability to manipulate and optimize large data sets.
Process orientated, highly organized, excels at multitasking, strong documentation, coordination and project management skills
Strong communication and problem solving skills and an ability to convey technical concepts to less technical team members
Confidence to offer consultation to business partners and team members within Sales, Partner, Marketing Operations.
A familiarity working with AGILE/SCRUM process management.
B.A. in Marketing, Technology, or related field, or equivalent years of industry experience.

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $108,000.00 - 148,500.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $97,200.00 - 133,650.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $86,400.00 - 118,800.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
