Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Materials Science and mechanical materials testing procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Teach three laboratory sections of ME 365: Materials Testing Laboratory during the Fall 2026 semester.
  • Teach laboratory sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:05 a.m., with one section each day and approximately 12 to 16 students per section.
  • Guide students through hands-on experiments involving destructive and non-destructive materials testing in a laboratory on the Penn State Berks Campus.
  • Ensure a safe and engaging laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with faculty to maintain consistency with the established course objectives and materials.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science, or a related field, is preferred.
  • Prior teaching or laboratory instruction experience is desirable.
