Creates an annual, consolidated business plan and budget. Directs the development and preparation of short and long-range plans and budgets based on goals and growth objectives and submits to Manager for approval.
Responsible for oversight and management of employees located in the Asheville and Charlotte offices, including hiring talent, coaching and developing performance.
Ensures each employee has received proper training for their job function in order to deliver best competency, productivity and uniform work excellence.
Is aware of the changes in policy production software (RamQuest) for the best communication and delivery of products to our approved attorney customers.
Maintains proper staff levels to provide optimal service levels to our approved attorneys while maintaining reasonable expenses for related budget.
Keeps work production uniform and consistent and ensures the maintenance of high quality work.
Ensures all staff with underwriting authority are following company guidelines for risk management and keep all staff current on any changes to these company guidelines.
Maintains open dialogue with underwriters so that decisions are made according to guidelines and authority levels and difficult risk items involve multiple underwriters to ensure the best solution for ORT, the approved attorney and their client.
Monitor all transactions to ensure all Over the Limit approvals are executed properly and stored in accordance with company guidelines.
Protects brand with proper and correct information about Old Republic conveyed by all employees.
Complies with Company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and completes mandatory company compliance training by assigned deadlines.
Monthly reviews progress on business plan and profitability in connection with review of FMR’s of operation. Ensures that steps are quickly taken to address and correct problems.
Timely communicates to North Carolina Operations Manager any concerns or issues with the offices and/or personnel.
Assists employees and sales reps as needed to build strong relationships with key approved attorney customers.
Participates in state land title and legal associations and stays abreast of any title insurance or legal issues affecting operations.
May meet, as necessary, with major customers, major lenders and developers in order to obtain business or keep business relationship intact.
Visits and/or entertains top producing customers and staff as business conditions dictate.
Participates in CLE Seminars for approved attorneys and staff, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by North Carolina Operations Manager.
Knowledge of commercial insurance coverage, and real estate terminology.
Attorney licensed in NC & SC preferred
Proficient in a variety of computer software systems, such as Microsoft Office and RamQuest.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in fast paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meets prescribed deadlines.
Ability to collaborate and interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, employees and customers by email, phone, video conferences and in person.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.
