THE JOB / Hospitality Manager (Financial Services Client)
EXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Hospitality Manager to join our team as a leader and playmaker at the intersection of sports/entertainment and experiential marketing.
In this role, you will work closely with the Hospitality Director and organizational subject matter experts to help co-lead a team responsible for the strategic program development of our client’s comprehensive portfolio.
There will be a strong focus on team leadership/management, client management, integrated planning across internal/external channels, concept development, and advance facilitation working with clients, properties, internal teammates, and agency partners throughout the process.

The position is best suited for a candidate passionate about working in a team environment with a diverse group of people from different cultural backgrounds and interested in managing multiple workstreams.
THE WORK YOU’LL DO
- Contribute to the strategic planning, program development/execution, and measurement of our client’s portfolio
- Full understanding of requirements to develop and implement strategic integrated programming across channels, focusing on engagement with consumers, fans, clients, and communities for our client’s go programs
- Participate in the development of strategic plans, activation recommendations, finance trackers, budgets, competitive documents and support the development of clients’ scopes of work
- Support the team in providing counsel to clients on nuances during strategic planning and program development
- Work alongside a fully integrated team, dedicated to the development of our clients’ hospitality program (including implementation/evolution of management routines across multiple constituencies including clients, internal agency teammates, cross-agency partners, property partners, and vendors)
- Support the management and professional development of the integrated team and provide training and career development consultation/guidance
- Manage agency’s collaboration with other agencies in the integrated planning process, representing Octagon on cross-agency forums, presenting strategic recommendations, and facilitating the engagement of our internal specialists
- Work closely with our internal specialty leads and groups throughout program development, leading the briefing and integration process with internal teammates
- Additional responsibilities as assigned

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 4-6 years of experience with an agency, brand, or property on the development of integrated brand campaigns, specifically within global sports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
- An ability to adapt communications for a variety of audiences to optimally and succinctly articulate agency positioning and expertise
- A standout colleague with a strategic, collaborative approach to solving problems with ideas.
- Ability to build relationships and influence a range of teams. Successful at cultivating positive agency and client relationships
- Strategic problem solver -with the ability to see the possible impacts of a decision on many projects
- A valid US passport is required
- Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically (and internationally) and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Moderate (20-45%)
The base range for this position is $60,000 – 65,000. Where an employee or prospective employee ispaid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background pertinent experience, and qualifications.
