Requirements
  • BS, MS, or PhD degree in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry plus 5-8 years exp related engineering field is required.
  • Candidate must be innovative, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in JMP or equivalent data analysis software skills are required.
  • Candidate must have good organizational and strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and good people skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Work as a night shift wafer process integration engineer in the HAMR NFT integration group at WD’s wafer fab in Fremont, CA.
  • Candidate will be responsible for developing robust processes as integration engineer for fabrication of HAMR NFT devices by working with module engineers in various areas to deliver next-generation HAMR products.
  • Job requires extensive interfacing with engineers and scientists in design, process, test, and characterization groups.
