Job Duties & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Security Engineer to help secure company applications and environments. The ideal candidate will focus on: 

• Collaborating closely with the security engineering team and adjacent IT teams to provide security analysis, hardening recommendations, and security controls across organizational IT assets.

• Analyzing emerging threats, continually assessing threat intelligence, and facilitating security solutions that will positively impact the company’s security posture. 

• Develop security logging, monitoring, and alerting around company IT assets and identify opportunities to consolidate information in a centralized SIEM.

• Enhance vulnerability management to ensure comprehensive visibility and security of the company infrastructure and services, to include on-premise and cloud-based environments.

• Assist with incident response and on-call responsibilities in the case of a security event or incident involving supported infrastructure and applications.

• Develop and partner with company leadership, IT management, and teams across the company to provide security awareness training and facilitate a security-first culture.

Qualifications:

Optimal candidates will have experience, education, and certifications similar to:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Technology or similar

• 3-6 Years of experience in Cyber Security and/or IT Systems Administration

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+/CySA+/CASP+, ISC2 SSCP/CISSP and/or cloud-based IT security certifications (AWS/Azure)
