Requirements
  • Completion of clinical training through Nuclear Medicine training program or college requirements
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Nuclear Medicine
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Current ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists License or Current CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist License
  • Current NJ-NUCMED - New Jersey Nuclear Medicine Technologist License
  • M-F as needed with on call
Responsibilities
  • Acquisition and processing of all Nuclear Medicine exams, including general Nuclear Medicine scans and Nuclear Cardiology studies
  • Quality control of all Nuclear Medicine equipment
  • Safe handling of diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals
  • Safe handling of therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals
  • Weekday, weekend and holiday call for after hour emergencies
  • Follows all Nuclear Regulation Commission regulations and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection regulations regarding radiation safety
