Your future team
Our team creates solutions to help large organizations work with the same agility that smaller teams thrive on. We help customers going through large-scale digital transformations, as well as companies that started small and nimble, and are now struggling to keep that agility as they grow. We’re building the products and practices that empower customers to work across org chart boundaries, collaborate on plans for big picture initiatives, and stay aligned on goals and objectives.
As an Experience Design Manger in Jira Align, you will report into the Head of Design, Enterprise Agility and your mission will be to deliver high-quality experiences our enterprise customers love. You’ll focus on improving our core product Jira Align, while also building new capabilities and solutions for enterprise customers and executive level end-users. You’ll up-level the team by providing support and mentorship in constructive ways that encourage, energizes, and increases the quality of work. We are looking for someone who will embrace a collaborative approach to helping their team build confidence, and move work forward embedded within teams of engineers and product managers.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Be a strategic partner of leadership teams, working with your peers in Engineering and Product to define the team strategy and roadmap.
- Understand product metrics and translate goals to the experience design team.
- Lead the product design vision that enhances our business goals and share that strategy through storytelling.
- Establish and maintain a high-quality bar for shipped design work with your team.
- Look for opportunities to improve the design of our products.
- Be a dedicated innovator. With a pulse on the trends in product design, you will help your team anticipate and adjust to new challenges and ensure constant innovation within your teams.
- Build a high-performing team of experienced designers. You’ll mentor and encourage your team towards success and cohesion.
Ideally, we’d hope you would:
- Have 10+ years of professional design experience, including 6+ years managing a design team.
- Show examples of having led cross-craft projects that delivered measurable improvement to users.
- Have experience working on enterprise software applications.
- Have experience with driving teams towards amazing solutions that balance customer/business needs.
- Have experience leading product or content designers across multiple/concurrent streams of work.
- Recognize content to be a powerful and essential part of a customer’s end-to-end journey.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $191,200 - $293,300
Zone B: $172,100 - $264,000
Zone C: $158,700 - $243,400
Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
