Requirements
  • A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • A current unrestricted Pharmacist license in the pharmacy location state.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain licenses in other states as required.
  • The ability to follow all state and federal guidelines governing the practice of pharmacy.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
  • The ability to complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • The ability to meet the on-call and scheduling requirements of the position.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with Noble Health Services operations and profitability.
  • Provide clinical and operational support for Noble Health Services Clinical and Patient Management Programs.
  • Perform quality assurance steps to ensure technically accurate prescriptions are dispensed and report dispensing incidents according to company guidelines.
  • Exercise oversight of clinical decision-making and accountability for those decisions.
  • Perform patient drug utilization reviews and analysis.
  • Report adverse events.
  • Suggest appropriate alternative therapies when warranted.
  • Assist in ensuring the clinical management program complies with current accreditation standards.
  • Monitor pharmacy claims for proper reimbursement.
  • Assist in managing pharmacy inventory.
  • Assist in ensuring records are maintained according to state and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with rules and regulations pertaining to New York State and other states where prescriptions are dispensed and delivered.
  • Assist in the training and development of clinical and pharmacy department personnel.
  • Participate in the Quality Management Committee as required.
  • Serve as the responsible licensed pharmacist in other states as required.
  • Keep current with state and federal regulatory changes and business trends within the industry.
  • Consult periodically with practitioners in the field.
  • Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by employees.
  • Ensure all Loss Prevention policies are followed by employees and report deviations.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Two to three years of practice in a specialty pharmacy setting.
  • Two to three years of experience in a managed care setting.
  • Three to five years of practice in a traditional retail setting performing medication therapy management.
