Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter with a passion for automation and cutting-edge technology? We have an exciting opportunity for you to work with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)!  Join our Belrose team and be part of an innovative environment where you’ll play a key role in assembling, installing, and maintaining AGVs, ensuring they operate safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

• Hours of Work: this position may require occasional weekend or overtime work depending on project deadlines.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

• Assembly & Installation: Build and fit mechanical components, ensuring precise alignment and functionality.

• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and fix faults in drive systems, wheels, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• System Integration: Collaborate with electrical and software teams to synchronize mechanical components with automation systems.

• Quality Control: Ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and technical feedback.

• Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and technicians while mentoring junior team members.

Tasks and Qualifications:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or equivalent: mandatory.

• Technical certifications/qualifications in mechanical fitting, engineering, or a related field: preferred.

• 2-5 years hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, preferably in automation or robotics.

• Experience with AGV systems or similar automation technology is advantageous.

• Proficiency in using mechanical tools, machines, and diagnostic equipment.

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, robotics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

• Familiarity with safety procedures and quality control standards in mechanical fitting

• Ability to lift heavy components and work in a physically demanding environment
