Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing), supply chain, business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or assembly.
  • Experience implementing or optimizing assembly or manufacturing processes, shop floor standard work, and continuous improvement with a labor pool.
  • Experience with lean or continuous improvement in operations, such as TPS, PDCA, Kaizen, or A3 thinking.
Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day third-party logistics partner operations, floor staging, and physical layout across the Atlanta Integration Center.
  • Oversee labor forecasting and direct the scaling of floor personnel, including transitions to 24/7 schedules during high-volume periods, to support burst deployments.
  • Partner with industrial engineering and continuous improvement teams to define and implement lean cellular assembly layouts, develop and improve visual management techniques, and improve standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with Logistics, Material Planning, New Product Development, and Customer Demand Planning teams to synchronize component allocations with active floor capacity and proactively mitigate component or tray shortages before they impact the assembly line.
  • Act as the primary operational point of contact with data center operations and Google Data Center engineering teams to align deployment schedules, resolve technical bottlenecks, and manage escalations.
  • Lead third-party logistics partners and cross-functional teams to ramp and sustain high-velocity assembly burst deployments while improving lean material and information flow, cellular assembly processes, and quality output.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA or master's degree.
  • 10 years of experience managing vendors and outsourced providers.
  • Experience designing for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Knowledge of SQL and analytics.
  • Operations Six Sigma certification or other relevant operations coursework.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to facilitate discussions with senior stakeholders to obtain key decisions.
