Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred but not necessary.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in international finance, credit risk management, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, credit analysis techniques, and risk management principles.
  • Experience working with international clients and navigating cross-border transactions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment tools/software.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in multiple languages may be advantageous, depending on the geographic focus of the role.
  • Knowledge of Letter of Credits, credit insurance required.
Responsibilities
  • Assess the creditworthiness of international clients through thorough analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Evaluate credit risk exposure across different regions and industries, identifying potential risks and opportunities for the organization.
  • Establish credit limits and terms for international clients, negotiating terms when necessary to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Monitor and manage credit exposures, including monitoring of credit limits, overdue accounts, and credit utilization ratios.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, finance, and risk management teams, to optimize credit decisions and support business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on credit risk assessment and management best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments related to international finance and credit risk management.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key credit metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external business partners/customers, serving as a trusted advisor on credit-related matters and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
