Fidelity International appoints Javier García de Vinuesa as Head of Iberia and Latin America. He will join Fidelity on September 14. Fidelity International, a global asset management and retirement savings firm, has appointed Javier García de Vinuesa as Head of Iberia and Latin America, as the firm continues to strengthen its business in the region. Javier will join Fidelity on September 14 to lead the firm's operations across Iberia and Latin America. Based in Madrid, he will drive growth and deepen client relationships in the region, reporting directly to Cosmo Schinaia, Head of Southern Europe and Latin America. Javier brings over 25 years of experience in asset management and distribution. He joins from Natixis Investment Managers, where he served as Country Head for Iberia, overseeing institutional, wholesale, private banking, and strategic alliance channels. Prior to Natixis, Javier spent 20 years at Robeco in various senior regional and global leadership roles, including Global Head of Wholesale Distribution and Global Financial Institutions. His scope spanned Europe, the Americas, and Asia, including several years based in Miami as Head of Latin America and US Offshore. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at Société Générale-Lyxor, Merrill Lynch, and Banco Santander. Fidelity International appoints former Premier Miton investment director. Robinson brings over a decade of experience in financial services and the UK advisory market 01 September 2026 Asset manager Fidelity International has named Chris Robinson (pictured) as its newest investment director for the firm's multi-asset and MPS range. In his new role, Robinson will be responsible for the UK wholesale market at Fidelity, working across the team's multi-asset, model portfolios, retail funds and customised solutions, collaborating with the portfolio management and distribution team. Robinson has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as the MPS investment director at Premier Miton Investors for almost two years. Before that, he spent seven years at Tatton Investment Management as head of the investment specialist team. He has also served as an analyst at firms such as Duncan Lawrie Private Banking and American Express. Commenting on the appointment, Robinson said: "The evolution of the MPS market continues at pace, and I'm excited to get to work with my new colleagues, supporting Fidelity's WealthBuilder MPS and multi-asset offering." Fidelity appoints Tamzin Manning. Staff writer. Financial Newswire 1 September 2026 Fidelity International has strengthened its investment capability in Australia with the appointment of experienced portfolio specialist, Tamzin Manning as investment director. Fidelity announced the appointment yesterday stating Manning will be responsible for representing and growing Fidelity's fundamental equities franchise in Australia, working closely with portfolio managers, clients and distribution partners to deliver investment insights and solutions across Fidelity's Australian and global equities capabilities. Manning joins Fidelity from T. Rowe Price, where she was vice president and senior portfolio specialist, leading commercial strategy and communications across a range of global and US equity strategies. Prior to T. Rowe Price Manning was a director and client portfolio manager at Epoch Investment Partners, where she was responsible for several global equity strategies and played a key role in commercialising new investment solutions.
Rival Companies LLC purchases Smart's US businesses. Smart USA CEO Duane Bernt will own and continue to operate the U.S. entities, including Stadion Money Management Reported by Smart USA Co., a managed accounts provider, announced today it will be acquired by Rival Companies LLC, a management company owned by Smart USA CEO Duane Bernt. The deal includes the U.S. entities formerly owned by Smart Pension Ltd., a global savings and investments platform provider. Bernt will continue to lead Smart's U.S. businesses, including the primary operating company, Stadion Money Management LLC, as CEO. The transaction is expected to close in the current quarter. According to the announcement, the agreement will allow Smart to focus on international markets and will provide dedicated ownership for the U.S. entities. "This transaction will enable our wonderful Stadion culture to thrive as well as embolden our commitment to the recordkeepers, asset managers, advisers and other retirement plan providers we serve," Bernt said in a statement. "Our leadership team will remain focused on delivering scalable and efficient retirement plan solutions, including technology that powers personalization to help employees pursue retirement security." As of July 31, Stadion, founded in 1993, had approximately $2.8 billion in assets under management. The firm's retirement plan and participant-level investment solutions platform administers more than $15 billion in assets and serves roughly 200,000 defined contribution participants, according to the company. The remaining Smart businesses operate in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with more than 2 million savers holding more than $20 billion in assets on the company's Keystone platform, according to the announcement. Aquiline Capital Partners, Barclays, Chrysalis Investments, DWS Group, Fidelity International Strategic Ventures, J.P. Morgan, Legal & General, MUFG and Natixis Investment Managers are all investors in Smart.
Eastspring hires head of insurance solutions from Fidelity International. Ghislain Périssé has been hired from Fidelity International to head Eastspring Investment's insurance solutions business. 25 August 2026 Eastspring Investments has hired Ghislain Périssé as head of insurance solutions in a newly created role effective from Monday. Périssé (main picture) joins the firm from Fidelity International where he served as the firm's global head of insurance solutions for EMEA and APAC. Reporting to Salman Haider, chief distribution officer, head of ASEAN, Eastspring Investments and CEO of Eastspring Singapore, Périssé will be tasked with developing and commercialising Eastspring's insurance solutions capability. Haider said: "Insurers across Asia are navigating increasingly complex investment, capital and balance-sheet challenges, and they need partners who understand both their investment objectives and the regulatory environment they operate in." "Eastspring combines deep insurance heritage through our longstanding relationship with Prudential with more than three decades of investment expertise and a strong on-the-ground presence across Asia." Eastspring Investments is the primary in-house manager for Prudential's life insurance assets in Asia. Haider added: "Drawing on this heritage and expertise, our ambition is to be the trusted partner to insurers across Asia."
