Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Foundational to intermediate SQL skills, including the ability to work with joins, filters, aggregations, and structured relational data.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience organizing, cleaning, reconciling, and validating large or complex datasets.
  • Working knowledge of ETL and data-transformation concepts, with the ability to move data accurately between spreadsheets, databases, and enterprise-system exports and imports.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to trace discrepancies back to their source.
  • Ability to learn data center electrical and power-circuit terminology and work safely in active data center, warehouse, and technical environments while following site procedures.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with technical and business teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to Cologix data center sites for audits, data validation, and program implementation.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and reconcile physical power circuit audit and inventory data, aligning each physical circuit to the appropriate NetSuite power circuit record, customer or service-order information, cabinet or space ID, DCIM or branch circuit monitoring device, and telemetry source.
  • Use SQL and ETL or data-transformation techniques to extract, normalize, compare, and validate power circuit, provisioning, and telemetry datasets, and create exception reports identifying records requiring investigation or correction.
  • Investigate missing, duplicate, excess, stale, or incorrectly provisioned power records and unmapped usage data, and coordinate corrections with Operations, NetSuite or Development, Billing or Revenue Assurance, Customer Experience, IT, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and validate standardized bulk-upload and provisioning files for power circuit additions, changes, and disconnects, and support recurring data-quality scripts, metrics, and alerts that identify when source systems no longer align.
  • Support on-site physical power circuit audits and validation activities with Operations and qualified electrical personnel, maintaining a living source of truth and accurate telemetry mappings for billing, overage workflows, utilization monitoring, capacity visibility, and critical-infrastructure alarms.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise asset-labeling standards, templates, naming conventions, and production documentation for cabinets and critical infrastructure.
  • Operate a 100W CO2 laser and associated software to produce lamacoid asset signage, including job setup, variable-data or CSV merges, material preparation, quality control, routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and safe equipment operation.
  • Help design, administer, and improve the internal label request workflow for Operations, including intake, prioritization, production tracking, material planning, quality control, fulfillment, and opportunities for automation.
  • Document repeatable procedures and collaborate across technical and business teams to improve power-data accuracy, asset identification, and process efficiency.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Python, including pandas, Power BI, R, or similar analytics and reporting tools.
  • Exposure to NetSuite, DCIM, EPMS, branch circuit monitoring, metering or telemetry platforms, or other enterprise asset and facilities systems.
  • Familiarity with data center power distribution concepts such as UPS systems, panels or PDPMs, busways, voltage, amperage, breakers, redundancy, and cabinet-level power monitoring.
  • Experience with revenue assurance, billing reconciliation, service-order data, or other work where record accuracy has a direct financial impact.
  • Experience with LightBurn, CO2 laser or engraving equipment, lamacoid or Rowmark materials, CNC or signage production, scripting, process automation, structured data imports, APIs, or Git/GitHub.

Ohio pauses new Data Center tax breaks amid revenue concerns. By: Charlotte Burke - June 3, 2026 - Columbus, OH (COLUMBUS) - Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has paused new sales tax exemptions for large-scale data center projects after state leaders raised concerns that existing incentives have reduced state revenue by more than $1 billion over the past year. The pause applies to future tax exemption requests. Existing agreements will remain in effect. Members of the Ohio Legislature's Joint Data Center Committee said the reported revenue impact prompted a closer review of the state's incentive program. Advocacy group Conserve Ohio, which is pursuing a ballot initiative that would ban data centers in the state, argued the reported revenue loss highlights concerns about oversight and transparency. Critics have also raised questions about environmental impacts and nondisclosure agreements between data center developers and local governments. The debate comes as Ohio continues to attract major data center investments. Before announcing the pause, DeWine approved a separate 10-year, 50% sales tax exemption for a Cologix data center project in Delaware and Licking counties because the application had already been submitted. The Joint Data Center Committee is expected to continue reviewing the state's tax incentive policies in future hearings as lawmakers consider the financial, environmental and transparency issues surrounding continued data center growth.

Cologix secures $175M financing from La Caisse for MTL8 data center

Cologix has secured C$240 million ($175.8 million) in senior financing from Canadian investment firm La Caisse for its MTL8 data centre in Montréal. The facility, located in Technoparc Montréal, offers 21MW of capacity across 206,000 square feet. This marks the third investment between the two firms since their partnership began in 2021. Data Center developer buys Ashburn office park for 4 times assessed value. Cologix says it plans to build a "state-of-the-art interconnection hub" on the property. The sale amount is four times the property's assessed value, Washington Business Journal reported. Cologix purchased the Beaumeade Corporate Park from an affiliate of Merritt Properties. The acquisition included a $317 million purchase for several lots on Guilford Dr. that encompass about 34 acres. In a separate transaction, Cologix paid $58 million for about 6 acres at 44620 Guilford Dr. Cologix announced the Ashburn land acquisition earlier this month. A news release from the company said that the sale "represents a rare opportunity to secure long-term capacity in a highly constrained market where access to scale, connectivity and proximity are increasingly scarce." The company plans to develop a "state-of-the-art interconnection hub on this campus as an option for its customers offering redundancy and resilience built for AI-scale networking." The facility will have an initial power capacity of 85 megawatts with the ability to scale up to more than 300. Planning is expected to begin in 2030. "As the global epicenter of digital infrastructure, Ashburn offers unmatched scale, density and strategic importance," said Cologix CEO Laura Ortman. "Opportunities to acquire land of this caliber, in the center of Data Center Alley, are exceptionally rare.
