Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, investment analysis, or business finance, including experience supporting a technology function.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, investment analysis, budgeting, and business performance management, including experience supporting technology and other strategic functions.
  • Experience with financial systems, financial planning and analysis platforms, and data analysis or visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, enterprise resource planning systems, Coupa, or Anaplan.
  • Proven ability to develop financial models, return-on-investment analyses, business cases, and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational information into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-level materials.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders across the firm to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
  • Own the official financial budget and forecast for Technology, ensuring alignment with the approved budget, contracts, and headcount plan.
  • Partner with Technology leadership to explain material variances, identify emerging budget pressures, and assess tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate with Technology to improve cloud and artificial intelligence spending discipline and transparency.
  • Establish and manage financial planning and analysis process discipline, including budget and forecast calendars, templates, input assumptions, controls, submission requirements, and consolidation of the Technology budget into the firmwide budget.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support executive decision-making, enterprise-wide planning, and major technology or strategic investment decisions.
  • Serve as the financial review and challenge function for significant investments by evaluating costs, benefits, risks, alternatives, and return on investment.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to implement efficient cost-saving strategies, optimize vendor contracts, and negotiate favorable pricing agreements.
  • Partner with Technology on executive, Board, and management materials related to strategic investments, performance, forecast changes, and approval or escalation needs.
  • Evaluate accounting, policy, and reporting treatment for technology and strategic investments in partnership with the Accounting team.
